(Press Release)
Since opening nearly five years ago, Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill in Plano has become a North Texas favorite, drawing awards and accolades for their authentic coastal vibe and exceptional seafood. Led by seafood expert Rick Oruch, the Preston Road restaurant has a dedicated following, and has fans who drive great distances to enjoy specialties like an authentic New England clam chowder, lobster rolls, and amazingly fresh, wild seafood.
To accommodate increasing customer traffic and requests from regular guests, the restaurant is undergoing an expansion which will increase its size by over 50%. The real changes, however, will be in the services offered at the restaurant. Traditionally, the restaurant has been a counter-service experience. Now, guests will enjoy full-service dining throughout the restaurant. Plus, the addition of a full bar allows guests to enjoy cocktails in addition to beer and wine.
Sea Breeze owner Mark Alterman is enthusiastic about the changes. “We have been fortunate to enjoy input from a variety of our regular customers,” notes Alterman. “They want us to maintain the casual, relaxed atmosphere at Sea Breeze while accommodating this new environment. These changes, including full-service dining and our new bar, are a result of the feedback we get from our customers. ”
The expansion also allows for increased catering operations, and the restaurant is planning extensive holiday and New Year’s catering for both residential and business functions. Construction has already begun for the expansion at LakeSide Market, and the design team has planned the expansion in such a way that guests will not experience closures at the restaurant. The project is slated for a November 2011 completion.
Recognized as a top destination for seafood by organizations including The Dallas Morning News, D Magazine, the Dallas Observer, WFAA, City Search and more, Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill is located in LakeSide Market near the intersection of Preston Road and Spring Creek Parkway. Sea Breeze features a full fish market showcasing a wide variety of fresh and wild seafood from across the planet, as well as a Chef at Home case featuring prepared foods.
