Norma’s Cafe, the original Dallas dining icon, will team up with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas throughout the month of February for “Girl Scout Tuesday Nights.” This month-long event will take place each Tuesday of the month from 5 – 8 p.m. The partnership was developed to help raise awareness of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, promote the Cookie Program and help raise funds for the organization.
“Girl Scout Tuesday Nights” kicks off on Feb. 5. Guests who want to support the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas are invited to dine at either of the two locations on Tuesdays in February. Proceeds from sales during “Girl Scout Tuesday Nights” will be donated to the organization in March. In addition, any Girl Scout who comes to Norma’s Cafe on Tuesday nights dressed in uniform will receive a free slice of Norma’s Cafe Mile-High Cream Pie™.
“With the help of our loyal guests, Norma’s Cafe hopes to increase community awareness of this great organization for young girls,” said Ed Murph, owner of Norma’s Cafe. “Norma’s Cafe is committed to supporting community organizations in North Texas, like the Girl Scouts, and looks forward to a continued partnership with them for years to come.”
The proceeds from this month-long campaign will be used to fund program activities, service projects, camping and other activities. In addition, Girl Scouts alumnae will have the opportunity to sign up to be a member of the Alumnae Association.
“We are very grateful for the opportunity to partner with Norma’s Cafe,” said Colleen Walker, chief executive officer for the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. “We are always looking for ways to engage our Girl Scouts in the local community and for each girl to feel a connection to her community. Through Norma’s Cafe’s generous gift, they are helping to invest in our future leaders. “
