(Press Release/Letter from Chris Quadri of Youth Village Resources of Dallas)
Let your hair down this Sunday. Our dear friend, Marie Tedei, and Eden’s Organic Garden Center has chosen us (!) as the beneficiary for this year’s Barn Aid. We’ll be out in force, touring local gardens and farms, riding our bikes and kicking our feet up at Marie’s farm while Chad Houser cooks us dinner with all the fresh vegetables we’ve collected. Don’t worry he’ll have help from our young men, of course. Oh, and a couple of other guys to help prepare our feast: Central 214’s, Graham Dodds and Garden Café’s, Mark Wootton.
Proceeds from the event will go directly towards helping the YVRD gardening program – gloves for the young men in the garden, equipment to complete our tilapia tanks, supplies for this year’s fall harvest, and maybe we’ll even raise enough to get Charles the chicken coop on his wish list! I look forward to seeing you ALL out for the festivities. Details below!
Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 1:00pm until 10:00pm
